French-American School of New York
Since its establishment in 1980, the French-American School of New York (FASNY) has been providing exceptional bilingual education for over forty years. What started as a small preschool has grown into an international N-12 day school with over 700 students across three campuses in Mamaroneck and Larchmont, New York.
FASNY stands out as the only school in the New York metropolitan area that is accredited to offer both the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma and the French baccalaureate. This unique combination allows students to graduate with a high school diploma from New York State along with these prestigious international qualifications.
At FASNY, academic excellence is a top priority, as reflected in their IB Diploma program. Students benefit from a wide range of IB classes, including STEM subjects, Theory of Knowledge, the Arts, English Literature, and Foreign Languages. These classes are tailored to each student's level, giving them the opportunity to excel.
One of the most exciting aspects of FASNY is the opportunity for bilingual students to pursue a bilingual IB diploma. Students who qualify can study both French and English literature and earn their diploma in English while continuing to study French literature until graduation. This unique option sets FASNY apart and provides a valuable advantage to its bilingual students.
FASNY's commitment to academic excellence is evident in its rankings. It has been ranked as the #2 Best Private High School in Westchester and one of the Best Private Schools in New York State according to Niche.
The success of FASNY alumni further reinforces the school's reputation. Graduates excel in universities across the United States, the UK, Canada, Europe, and top preparatory classes in France. The alumni network is a source of inspiration and support for current students and families.
