The Edron Academy
Founded in 1963 by Edward Foulkes, a Welshman, and Ronald Stech, a Canadian, The Edron Academy in Mexico City provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Their vision is clear: to create a learning community where every child feels secure, wanted, cared for, and free from tension and hostility. While adapting to change and expansion, the school has retained these fundamental values since its inception.
In 1993, The Edron Academy achieved bicultural status by incorporating with the Mexican education authority (SEP) and became an IB World School in 1995.
For Kinder and Primary, they follow the National Curriculum of England and Wales alongside the Mexican curriculum organized by SEP. In the Secondary school, The Edron Academy offers the IGCSE and the IB Diploma, emphasizing personalized learning with high expectations for all students. In Kinder, a Constructivist approach is followed.
Now positioned as a high-level private school with a unique approach, The Edron Academy combines the advanced and multicultural focus of British programs with the identification and recognition of the needs of Mexico and the programs of the Mexican Education Ministry in their adapted British Curriculum.
