Garden International School
With about 480 coeducational students, mostly from the Pattaya, Sattahip, and Rayong regions, and about 40 different nationalities represented, Garden International School is a truly global community. A well-stocked library serves the entire school, and top-notch sports facilities, such as two covered courts, an all-weather pitch, a sizable field, and two swimming pools, are available to all students.
Beginning with students as young as two, Garden International School offers an Early Years program. Students continue with a British-style curriculum until they are sixteen, at which point they take the Cambridge International General Certificate of Education exams (IGCSEs). The oldest students at GIS, who are between the ages of 16 and 18, participate in the esteemed International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for the last two years of their education.
Exam results at the IGCSE and IBDP consistently surpass global averages, and GIS teachers are highly skilled and experienced. Students continue their education at some of the world's top universities.
The Council of International Schools (CIS) has fully accredited only GIS, the school on the Eastern Seaboard. The Thai Ministry of Education, Cambridge Assessment International Education, and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) have all granted it accreditation (ONESQA).
The Department for Education in the United Kingdom and the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) are linked with the school. Additionally, it was one of the founding members of FOBISIA, the Federation of British International Schools in Asia.
Parents can choose full-time or weekly boarding options at Garden International School. Located on Thailand's Eastern Seaboard, in the town of Ban Chang, is the GIS Boarding House. The Boarding House consists of specially adapted terrace housing on a quiet street, situated on a secure housing estate close to the school.
The school fully supports the Boarding House, which is staffed full-time by kind and helpful employees. The GIS boarding house can currently accommodate up to 12 students, which enables the school to provide each student with individualized attention and to cultivate excellent interpersonal relationships between the students, staff, and parents.
