Garmin
Founded in 1989 by Americans Gary Burrell and Min Kao in Lenexa, Kansas (then known as ProNav), Garmin Ltd. (reduced to Garmin, stylized as GARMIN) is presently headquartered in Olathe, Kansas. The company has been formally established as a Swiss corporation in Schaffhausen since 2010.
Cars, planes, boats, hikes, and sports are just some of the many uses for the firm's GPS technology. As a result of their innovations in wearable technology, they have been competing with companies like Fitbit and Apple, which have made consumer-level activity trackers and smartwatches.
As part of the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina, Garmin established a location in Cary in 2010. In addition to the United Kingdom, the United States, and Taiwan, Garmin also has a presence in a number of other nations. Formar in Belgium, Garmin AMB in Canada, Belanor in Norway, Trepat in Spain, and Garmin-Cluj in Romania are all names under which the company operates.
