Gayming
Gayming Magazine is an online Gay video gaming magazine established in the United Kingdom. They are the first video gaming website devoted exclusively to the LGBTQ community. The platform, which has conducted virtual Pride events, was created in June 2019 with the goal of integrating the LGBTQ and video gaming communities. Gayming Awards, the world's first LGBTQ+ gaming awards ceremony, took held in 2021, with the most recent event taking place in 2022. Gayming Magazine will also be hosting Gayming LIVE Online in 2022, with the goal of bringing together video games, drag performers, and queer culture under one virtual roof.
Gayming Magazine will present the world's first LGBTQ+ gaming awards ceremony, Gayming Awards, in July 2020. The awards were presented by Electronic Arts (EA) and backed by The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment. Suzi Ruffell hosted the first ceremony, which took place digitally in February 2021. The judging panel included over twenty LGBTQ persons, but the public voted on the Best LGBTQ+ Streamer and Gayming Magazine Readers' Awards categories. The Gayming Awards, sponsored by Twitch, will return in person in April 2022, remaining the first and only worldwide award ceremony honouring LGBTQ+ video gaming. The event was once again live streamed on Twitch and IGN, with over 320,000 people watching from 97 countries across the world.
