Being the third oldest college in the country and the oldest fully accredited private, not-for-profit college in Illinois, Generations College takes great pride in its heritage. Generations College aims to set up its students and alumni for success. Small class sizes allow for more one-on-one time between students and teachers.

Generations College also offers practical, hands-on learning to assist graduates with their transition into the workforce or their transfer to a four-year institution for further education. The fully accredited online degree options allow students to pursue their degrees online or choose traditional, on-campus programming.

Generations College offers the oldest and most prestigious court reporting program in the country, which also boasts the greatest program in Chicago. In Chicago and across the country, there is an alarming increase in the demand for court reporters.

The National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) has certified the court reporting program, which is also nationally recognized and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Its adaptable court reporting programs benefit aspiring and experienced court reporters.

Generations College aims to instill a strong sense of and appreciation for professionalism at all times, the most important quality in its court-reporting students. This will positively impact the students' time to degree, graduation rates, and transition to the workforce.

  • By completing a supervised externship, students can clarify their career objectives, obtain experience, and build their confidence.

  • Real-time reporting will be introduced to students in core classes.
