GeoBlue Voyager Essential
The GeoBlue Voyager Essential is a single-trip medical plan, which offers emergency medical coverage while you are traveling abroad. This plan does not require you to have primary health insurance in place, but there is a 6 month period, prior to the coverage date, for pre-existing conditions. Pre-existing conditions are excluded from this plan's medical coverage, but emergency medical transportation is still covered whether the need is related to a known condition or not.
You have the option to choose the medical limit and deductible amount with this plan. Also, it has the Direct Pay program, which will pay medical expenditures in full if the patient arranged an appointment with a doctor in the GeoBlue network and GeoBlue is aware of the appointment 24 hours in advance.
In the event that you require medical attention or an emergency evacuation while traveling, GeoBlue will give you a 24-hour, seven-day emergency contact number. Also, you will have access to comprehensive service profiles for the hospitals and doctors in the region to which you are traveling. If there is an emergency while you are traveling, having this information will help you plan ahead and make wise decisions regarding your medical care.
