Patriot International Lite
The Patriot International Lite plan offers travel medical coverage for individuals that are traveling outside of their home country. It excludes coverage for domestic travel within the US. This plan can help fill in the coverage gaps left by your primary health insurance, which might not fully cover you while you're traveling abroad.
This plan allows you to choose your deductible amount and medical coverage limits because every traveler's demands are different. Options for medical insurance range from $50,000 to $1,000,000. The maximum limit for travelers age 70-79 is $50,000. The maximum limit for travelers age 80 or above is $10,000.
Options for deductibles range from $0 to $2,500. The plan will automatically default to $250 unless you select another option. This flexibility allows you to assess your budget and choose an amount that you are comfortable paying out-of-pocket.
An optional Adventure Sports Rider is available to add to the plan for passengers under the age of 64. If additional medical care is required because of an injury sustained while participating in an activity like spelunking, bungee jumping, or wildlife safaris, the Adventure Sports Rider will cover it.
Also, this plan offers 24-hour emergency help services that you can contact if something goes wrong while you're traveling. These support services can be useful in the event of a medical emergency, an evacuation, or the requirement for pre-certification.
