Georgia Institute of Technology
The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), established in 1885, is a leading research university in the United States dedicated to enhancing the human condition via advanced science and technology. By 1901, it had expanded its curriculum to include electrical, civil, and chemical engineering. The school's name was changed in 1948 to reflect its transformation from a trade school to a larger and more capable technical institute and research university. Georgia Tech is one of the most research-intensive colleges in the United States, including programs in business, design, liberal arts, and sciences.
The institution has generated leaders who better the human condition and progress technology by awarding more than $1 billion in research grants each year across all six colleges and the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). Georgia Tech has received significant contributions to continuing its exceptional work. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) awarded the institution $21.9 million during the 2019 fiscal year to study innovative ways of combating a future flu pandemic. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation awarded Georgia Tech $13.5 million to improve sanitation worldwide by renovating toilets. It is a privilege for Microlit to supply the institute with a variety of high-precision liquid handling products.
