Gjensidige Forsikring
The Gjensidige Group's parent firm, Gjensidige Forsikring ASA, is headquartered in Oslo, Norway. In addition to pension activities in Norway, the company maintains general insurance operations in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Baltic nations. Property insurance, as well as accident and health insurance, are included in the general insurance operations. Life insurance, which is pure risk insurance with a tenure of up to one year and is mostly group life insurance, is also part of the Norwegian general insurance business. Outside of Norway, operations are largely conducted through branches. They have a subsidiary in Lithuania, as well as branches in Estonia and Latvia, in the Baltics.
The Gjensidige Forsikring life insurance company employs approximately 3700 people and operates in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Baltic republics. In 2020, operating income was NOK 28 billion, with total assets of NOK 118 billion. The Group provides six business areas: General Insurance Private, General Insurance Commercial, General Insurance Denmark, General Insurance Sweden, General Insurance Baltics.
