Talanx is Germany's third-biggest insurance group by premium income and one of Europe's largest. The Hannover-based firm operates in over 150 countries. The Talanx Group is a multi-brand provider with an emphasis on business-to-business insurance. With a strategic realignment and related accounting changes, Talanx AG is strengthening its German life insurance company. They have long-term strategic measures that seek to increase the life insurers' competitiveness in their Retail Germany Division.

Despite the current state of the capital markets, they provide new solutions that guarantee the payment of premiums at the end of the term. They're also enhancing their chances of making a profit because these new insurance concepts allow them to credit bigger surpluses to clients than traditional types of life insurance. Furthermore, once a particular credit level has been reached with these new capital-efficient instruments, it cannot be lost. To boost efficiency, even more, the division expects to invest a total of EUR 170 million in the German life insurance business over the next three years, resulting in a long-term cost reduction of EUR 70 million. There will be an emphasis on digitizing business operations and consumer touchpoints, in addition to providing a consistent product and administrative platform for all life insurers in the division.
