Founded in 1946 by Jerry and Goldie Lippman, GOJO Industries, Inc. is a renowned manufacturer of skin care and hand hygiene products. It is based in Akron, Ohio. In 1950, the company discovered the liquid soap dispenser. In 1988, The company created the iconic Purell hands sanitizer.

In June 2019, GOJO Industries, Inc announced that the integrated monitoring system features Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) technology that makes it easy for hospitals to add location features such as asset tracking and nurse calls.
