The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) was founded in 1837 by William Procter and James Gamble and is a multinational consumer goods company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company started from 1858 to 1859 supplying candles and soaps to the Union Army.
In April 2020, P&G began manufacturing and distributing hand sanitizer in its five factories worldwide to help prevent the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. His team in Europe received recommendations and formulas approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) and moved to obtain and identify the necessary raw materials. The first alcohol-based hand sanitizer dispenser bottle was produced by Gross-Gerau.
