Grunas Waterfall
One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Albania and the entire Albanian Alps is the Grunasi Waterfall, which has been designated a natural monument since 2002.
On the western side of the Thethi valley in the Albanian Alps is where you'll find the Grunasi waterfall. The water first makes a little rocky trough through a limestone slope near the western foot of the Boshi mountain summit, then rapidly plunges from a height of 25 meters.
A pond has formed at the base of the waterfall, from which water falls into the Thethi valley and joins the Shala river at the start of the Grunasi canyon.
There is a thick forest covering the entire slope where this waterfall breaks. It almost always comes with a rainbow at the bottom of the sled on sunny days because of the water droplets that fall around the ivory. Its surroundings are a unique occurrence in the Albanian Alps, making it a popular tourist destination. It is completed with a natural spa with green water at the bottom, giving it the uncommon décor for which it has been designated as a natural monument.
