Gurara Waterfall

Gurara Waterfall is located between Suleja and Minna, the capital of Naija state. It was first discovered in 1975 and is named after two gods worshiped by the Gwarri people, Gura and Rara. The site is popular with foreigners and Nigerians who visit the recreational area to swim, have picnics and go bird watching. This place impresses tourists with its powerful, white waterfall.

Before Europeans turned it into a tourist attraction, the waterfall was primarily utilized for worship and human sacrifice to the gods. Concrete walkways and rocks distinguish the Guara waterfalls. Guara waterfall has proven to be one of the most attractive spots in Nigeria for picnics and leisure activities over the years. The waterfall peaks between April and November, while the lowest point is between January and March when the water is safe and clean enough for swimming. Furthermore, the river has a lot of possibilities for sports, fishing, and wildlife observation. It is also claimed that crocodiles can be discovered in their natural habitat beneath the riverbank. Guara Waterfall shines under the sun like fireworks.
