Kwa waterfall
The Kwa Falls is located in Anegeje village in Akamkpa LGA of Cross River State and is an extension of the Kwa River. Its sparkling waters cascade down basement rocks situated at the Oban side of the Cross River National Park.
The Kwa Falls are reached through 234 steps, and the cascade runs into a canopy of tropical rainforest and mangrove forest rich in Mahogany, Ebony, and Spruce trees in a magnificent environment. The breathtaking Kwa Falls cascades down a cliff via a large vertical gash in the Great Kwa River channel (also known as the Kwa Ibo River or Kwa River), which flows smoothly through Cross River State, south-eastern Nigeria, draining the east side of lovely metropolis of Calabar.
The river is reported to originate in the Cross River National Park's Oban Hills and run south to the Cross River estuary.All year round, tourists and visitors at Calabar keep trooping down to the Kwa Falls for its amazing sight.
