Help Relieve Painful Symptoms of Menstruation
Many women suffer from dysmenorrhea, which is characterized by severe menstrual symptoms such as stomach pains. There is some evidence, however, that guava leaf extract may lower the intensity of menstruation cramps. A study of 197 women with painful symptoms discovered that ingesting 6 mg of guava leaf extract daily lowered pain severity. It looked to be more potent than certain pain relievers. Guava leaf extract may also help reduce uterine cramps.
Guava leaves were shown to be more efficient than Ibuprofen in relieving menstrual discomfort. It also improves blood flow and prevents clot menstruation during menstruation. Guava leaf tea was also thought to lessen uterine contraction, which is prevalent during menstruation and is the cause of unpleasant periods.
