Henry J. Waternoose III
At first, Henry J. Waternoose III comes across as calm and fatherly, maintaining a positive relationship with the protagonists Sulley and Mike in "Monster, Inc." His demeanor is friendly and lively, particularly when he becomes excited.
However, the looming energy crisis pushes Henry J. Waternoose III to resort to villainous acts, as he becomes increasingly ruthless and forsakes his moral compass. His singular focus is to keep the Monsters, Inc.'s operation going on at any cost, without considering alternative energy sources.
Still, it is clear that his transformation into a villain is primarily driven by desperation rather than personal animosity towards Sulley - and that sets him apart from Randall, another villain in Monster, Inc. So despite his questionable actions, there remains a glimmer of potential redemption for him.
