Historic McFarland House
For couples who desire to be married in a refined setting, the Historic McFarland House is a dream come true. Their wedding packages include access to a bridal wing with private groom's rooms, as well as help from a detail-oriented staff of event specialists, including "butlerettes" allocated to each wedding to ensure the bridal party has everything they need for a stress-free day. Guests at the reception will be able to dine on locally sourced seasonal fare while toasting the happy couple with champagne from the bar. Their motto, "Past. Present. Perfect," demonstrates their commitment to putting on memorable events.
The Historic McFarland House in Martinsburg, West Virginia, has been a cornerstone of taste, tradition, and civic pride for almost 140 years. The mansion's magnificent past lives on today in the furniture, food, and festivity created within our venue, which was built by Alexander B. Parks in 1878.
Parks was an entrepreneur with a passion for fresh fruit, as well as a developer and municipal leader. Parks was guided by a commitment to local cuisine and farm-fresh ingredients as president of the National Fruit Company (better known today as White House®) and then as a West Virginia state senator. Parks' commitment to indigenous foods is still evident in our kitchen today. Almost all of the food served here comes from within a 50-mile radius of Martinsburg.
