Hit-and-Run Squad (2019)

Hit-and-Run Squad is a South Korean action police procedural film. It is directed by Han Jun-hee and stars Gong Hyo-jin, Ryu Jun-yeol and Jo Jung-suk. The film was released on January 30, 2019. Eun Shi Yeon (Gong Hyo Jin) is relegated to a hit-and-run squad after a failed investigation into a case of bribery involving a retired South Korean Formula One driver, Jung Jae Chul (Jo Jung Suk), and a high-ranking police officer. There, she meets Seo Min Jae (Ryu Jun Yeol) and Woo Sun Young (Jeon Hye Jin). Shi Yeon initially has a lot of doubts about Seo Min Jae's investigative abilities, but he quickly shows that he is a completely reliable investigator.

For a change, Jo Jung Suk portrays a wild bad guy. He is completely evil and insane, but the program doesn't truly give you a full account of how he came to be that way. Because of his activities, Jung Jae Chul's persona doesn't convince you that he is an intelligent man, which makes it difficult for you to believe that he might become a wealthy businessman. He is viewed as an aggressive, impetuous, bad-tempered individual who doesn't feel regret for the crimes he conducts.
