Holiday Valley Ski Resort

This resort may not have as much vertical, but it more than makes up for it with plenty of powder and a wide variety of terrain. It is one of the few ski slopes in New York where there is a potential for a knee-deep powder day because of its proximity to Lake Erie and the lake effect snow phenomena that occurs throughout the winter.

The brand-new Yodler high-speed quad chairlift will be installed during the 2021/22 ski season, which will significantly alter the skiing experience at Holiday Valley. Skiing at Holiday Valley will now be more fun thanks to this $4 million capital project, especially for novice skiers who would have found the old fixed-grip quad difficult to load and unload. The faster ascent will simply make other skiers happy.

Holiday Valley is like numerous ski resorts wrapped into one because it is spread out over several slopes. You can discover long straight cruisers, steep short black diamonds, or winding courses through massive evergreens, depending on where you go. There are many things to do, including tubing, the Mountain Coaster, three base lodges, an excellent ski school, and various off-mountain activities. A vacation to Holiday Valley is made more enjoyable by the nearby hamlet of Ellicottville. This ski resort is a wonderful place to spend a winter holiday because it has a wide variety of restaurants, stores, and a charming main street.
