Hot Young Bloods
Hot Young Bloods is a teen romantic comedy film about four high school students in Hongseong County, South Chungcheong Province, in the 1980s. The film called That's What I Told Her (2013, Daniels Calvin) inspired the short film Hot Young Bloods.
Young-sook (Park Bo-young) is the feared leader of a female gang at Hongseong Agricultural High School in 1982, set in a rural town. Despite her tough exterior and foul mouth, she secretly has a crush on Joong-gil (Lee Jong-suk), the school's biggest playboy. Joong-gil is a legendary Casanova with the ability to melt girls' hearts with a single glance, and he's tried to woo all of the girls at school except Young-sook. That's because Gwang-sik (Kim Young-kwang), the leader of a rival school's male gang, considers Young-sook to be his girl.
Then So-hee (Lee Se-young), a new female transfer student from Seoul, arrives at their high school. Joong-gil falls in love with So-hee because she is beautiful, innocent, and unlike the other girls. Young-sook picks a fight with So-hee to keep her new rival from encroaching on her secret crush. Trouble brews as Gwang-sik, suspicious of Young-ties sook's to Joong-gil, harasses So-hee in an attempt to provoke Joong-gil.
