Hurghada

Hurghada, long the leading resort destination in Egypt, has more than 100 hotels and resorts, the majority of which line the 40 km of sandy coastline. Even though there are a few public beaches scattered throughout the region, they are all fee-based, so it might be easiest to just reserve a hotel with a private beach. You can be sure that there won't be any crowds and that the sand will be kept in good condition if you do this, and your lounge chairs, towels, and possibly even drinks and snacks will all be provided.

You can get to Mahmya Island in just one hour, and if you're lucky, you might even see a few dolphins en route. Visit El Dahar in Hurghada's old town if you need a break from the sand and surf. A bazaar with a wide variety of stalls selling handicrafts, jewelry, spices, and perfumes can be found there. When you're hungry, you can find street food vendors and Bedouin bars nearby that serve freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, coffee, and tea.
