Marsa Alam
An ancient, small town called Marsa Alam is situated on the Red Sea in Egypt's Eastern Desert. It is located about 300 kilometers from Hurghada and 790 kilometers south of Cairo. It is renowned for fishing and scuba diving. Today, Marsa Alam, a popular destination for divers and wind surfers, is one of Egypt's fastest growing vacation spots. Sunbathers are fortunate enough to experience the resort's secluded peace. Since the opening of the Marsa Alam international Air Port, Marsa Alam has grown significantly as a tourist destination.
Many people, both tourists and Egyptians, think Marsa Alam will rival Sharm El-Shiekh in the near future. The new Marsa Alam International Airport is Egypt's first international airport that is privately owned and run. Additionally, it is the first airport in aviation history to run entirely on BOT technology. Marsa Alam was formerly a tiny fishing village, but the building of an international airport in 2001 transformed it into a posh vacation destination. Marsa Alam is poised to rival the popularity of well-known Egyptian resorts like Hurghada and Sharm El-Shiekh thanks to a number of tourism projects planned for the near future.
