Hvar, Croatia
Hvar is a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea, located off the coast of Dalmatia, about 68 km long. The island of Hvar is notable for its fertile plains with freshwater springs, pine-covered hills, vineyards, olives, fruit, and especially lavender. Hvar is also known as Lavander Island. This flower seems to be present all over the island, grown in gardens separated by stacked stone walls.
Hvar is known as a party island. Visitors will find nightlife in the town of Hvar. Take some time to explore the island and you'll find some quieter that is great for families. The town of Hvar is filled with restaurants, aristocratic yachts, bars, and trendy shops. Hvar's Stari Grad Plain has been classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site. Here you can swim in many small bays, scattered on HVAR island, along a length of 80 kilometers, from East to West.
Hvar enjoys long summers and mild winters, with warm temperatures in early April and as late as November.
