Iheneke Lake

Located in the Obinofia Ndiuno neighborhood of Enugu state's Ezeagu Local Government. Iheneke Lake is a freshwater lake with a surface size of roughly 5 square kilometers. It is mostly bordered by bamboo trees and other types of vegetation. It is a tropical lake, and the hottest time of year is when it is at its densest. The lake is chilly during the rainy season and gets colder as the harmattan moves forward. Iheneke is a great spot to stop and unwind and is the second most frequented lake in the state of Enugu. Pythons, Guinea pigs, and crocodiles are some of the animals that may be seen in and around the lake. Locals think that mermaid spirits occasionally manifest in the lake.

Tourists may be mesmerized by the lake's movement, though, since its direction frequently shifts. For example, the lake flows downhill in the morning, upward at midday, and becomes still after dusk. The Ihu-ogba Cave and Ihuneke Lake are off-limits to women, as are the Ogbagada Waterfall and Ihu-ogba Cave while a widow is still grieving her spouse, according to the holy rules that regulate the Ezeagu tourism complex. Additionally, it is not permitted to create loud noises close to or near a fall since doing so causes the fall's loudness to escalate to a terrifying height.
