Improve Concentration and Aid Weight Loss
Peppermint tea is naturally calorie-free and has a delightfully sweet flavor, making it an excellent choice for weight loss. However, there haven't been a lot of studies done on the effects of peppermint tea on weight loss. A short research of 13 healthy persons found that ingesting a peppermint oil capsule lowered hunger compared to not taking peppermint. Animal research, on the other hand, found that mice fed peppermint extracts acquired more weight than the control group. More study on peppermint and weight reduction is required.
Drinking peppermint tea may help you concentrate and focus better. While no studies on the benefits of peppermint tea on focus are known, two brief studies on the positive impact of peppermint oil — taken orally or inhaled — have been conducted. In one study, 24 young, healthy participants who were given peppermint oil capsules fared much better on cognitive tests. Another study indicated that sniffing peppermint oil improved memory and alertness more than ylang-ylang, another popular essential oil.
