May Improve Energy and Relieve Menstrual Cramps
Peppermint tea may boost energy levels and minimize weariness during the day. While no trials on peppermint tea have been conducted, research indicates that natural chemicals in peppermint may have energy-boosting properties. In one study, 24 healthy young people who were given peppermint oil capsules felt less fatigued during a cognitive test. Another study discovered that aromatherapy with peppermint oil reduced the prevalence of daytime drowsiness.
Menstrual cramps may be relieved by peppermint since it serves as a muscle relaxant. While peppermint tea has not been investigated in this regard, peppermint components have been demonstrated to alleviate symptoms. Peppermint extract capsules were shown to be equally efficient as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine in lowering the intensity and duration of pain in one research of 127 women with uncomfortable periods. It's probable that peppermint tea will have the same effect.
