Infiniti

Infiniti is the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Nissan. On November 8, 1989, Infiniti began selling vehicles in North America for the first time. In the 2010s, the marketing network for Infiniti-branded vehicles includes dealers in over 50 countries. There were 25 markets served by new car dealers in 2020. North America, China, and the Middle East are the primary markets. According to the business, the Infiniti emblem represents a road reaching into the horizon as well as Mount Fuji, symbolizing the car's Japanese heritage.

Infiniti's previous model name designation featured one letter for coupés and sedans, two letters for SUVs, and a number representing engine displacement. For example, the QX56 was an SUV with a 5.6L engine. The QX4 SUV was an exception, with a 3.3L engine from 1996 to 2000 and later a 3.5L engine from 2000 to 2003. Infiniti's model designations changed in 2013 to coupes and sedans beginning with the letter Q, SUVs and crossovers beginning with the letters QX, and a number denoting the model's position in the brand portfolio. The M sedan was renamed the Q70, the G coupe the Q60, and the G sedan the Q50.
