International BURCH University, founded in 2008, is a for-profit private higher education school located in the urban setting of Sarajevo Canton, in the medium city of Sarajevo (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants).

International BURCH University (IBU) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 students) coeducational Bosnian and Herzegovina higher education institution that is officially recognized by the Ministarstvo za obrazovanje, nauku I mlade Kantona Sarajevo (Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Sarajevo Canton).

International BURCH University (IBU) offers courses and programs in a variety of fields that lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees.

This Bosnian and Herzegovina higher education institution, which is 12 years old, has a selective admission procedure based on entrance exams and students' previous academic records and ratings. With an acceptance rate of 80-90 percent, this Bosnian and Herzegovina higher education institution is one of the least selective in the country.

Students from other countries are welcome to apply. IBU also offers a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aid and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning possibilities, as well as administrative services to students.
