Univerzitet u Banjoj Luci (University of Banja Luka), ranked second among the best universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was founded in 1975 as a non-profit public higher-education institution in the small city of Banja Luka (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Republika Srpska.
