Iris

Iris is a South Korean espionage television drama series that premiered in 2009. The narrative centres on two best friends from the 707th Special Mission Group who are recruited into the National Security Service, a covert South Korean black ops outfit. As the two friends' loyalties are challenged and new, surprising friendships are formed, their trip takes them from their home country to Hungary, Japan, and China, where they find themselves at the center of a worldwide conspiracy. It aired on KBS2 from October 14 to December 17, 2009, at 21:55 on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Lee Byung-hun, Kim Tae-hee, Jung Joon-ho, Kim Seung-woo, Kim So-yeon, and T.O.P appear in the action, romance, and thriller drama Iris. The series was a critical and financial success, with an average audience of more than 30% and constantly placing as the top program every week following its launch. The final episode had the greatest viewership (41.8 percent). At the 2009 KBS Drama Awards, the drama got the highest accolades.
