It chronicles the exploits of Bell Cranel, a teenage adventurer who aspires to be a hero and meet females in the dungeon, a complex underground environment teeming with monsters and treasures. Along the way, he meets Hestia, a goddess who becomes his patron, and various characters who either join or oppose him.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is a stand-alone story that takes place after the anime series' second season. It introduces a new character, Artemis, a mysterious young woman who wants Bell to assist her in saving the planet from a powerful threat. As is typical of the genre, the film contains a lot of action, comedy, romance, and fanservice. The animation is smooth and colorful, and the voice acting, especially in the dubbed version, is excellent.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is a pleasant and exciting anime picture that delivers what it promises: a magical adventure with a lot of humor and romance. It's hardly a masterpiece of plot or animation, but it's a fun way to spend an hour and a half.
