Itamae

From its beginnings in the former St. Roch Market, this Japanese-Peruvian restaurant has expanded into its own location in the Palm Court neighborhood of Miami's Design District. Itamae is an ode to mixing their Peruvian background with Japanese classics, led by a brother, sister, and father combo affectionately known as the "Chang Gang."

It offers technique-driven Peruvian-Japanese flavors and traditions while also celebrating local and seasonal ingredients. Itamae was named one of the greatest restaurants in Miami by The Infatuation and made the New York Times' 2021 Restaurant List. Consider a well-crafted menu of maki and rolls, sashimi, and rice bowls, along with tiraditos and ceviches. Its sibling sushi restaurant, B-Side by Itamae, is also worth a visit and is located just a few streets away in Wynwood.
