Jakarta Multicultural School
Jakarta Multicultural School (JMS) is an exceptional International School located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Their mission is to provide a global learning environment that prepares their students to be competitive, creative, and innovative, enabling them to pursue higher education both abroad and in Indonesia.
In 2007, Ms. Edriana Noerdin took charge, introducing the Cambridge and International Baccalaureate curricula and transforming it into the beloved institution Jakarta International Multicultural School. Now situated in a serene 2-hectare property in the peaceful Situgintung area, just a short 15-minute ride from the Lebak Bulus MRT station.
At JMS, they maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio for personalized attention, aiming to create a safe and supportive environment where every student feels protected. Teachers and staff take the time to know each student by name, closely observing their strengths and challenges.
JMS offers a comprehensive upper secondary program blending the best of Cambridge IGCSE and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, preparing students for success in college or university.
Using formative assessments to monitor learning and provide ongoing feedback during a unit, JMS employs summative assessments to evaluate students' understanding at the end of a unit. In Cambridge IGCSE and IB DP, assessments include both internal and external evaluations, with final assessments being externally assessed and moderated, leading to the award of the Diploma.
Their ultimate goal is to help each student maximize chances of admission to a variety of "good fit" universities. Every year, representatives from leading universities worldwide visit JMS to meet students and provide information on possible courses.
