Jamestown
The best parts of Jamestown are the natural and historical attractions. Jamestown Settlement provides a glimpse at 17th-century Virginia and the occasions that led to the first permanent English settlement in the Americas, while Greensprings Interpretive Trail offers 3 1/2 miles of hiking and biking routes. Visit the town's Glasshouse as well if you want to view glassblowing demonstrations and purchase some handcrafted glass as a souvenir.
Jamestown is situated between Route 31 and the Colonial Parkway, six miles from Williamsburg and ten miles from Exits 242A and 234 of Interstate 64. It is also close to Colonial National Historical Park. Even after more than 400 years, coming here is always an adventure. Funny enough, each location has a ton of lovely stories inscribed on it. You must learn the tale and leave the location in awe.
Make sure to cross the footbridge if you're visiting Jamestown for the first time. You can travel across time with the use of this symbol. You will then have to cross the Pitch and Tar Swamp. You can see turtles, birds, and other lovely island wildlife all over the place. The footbridge is built of wood except from that. A river flows beneath the mountains and lush plants that surround it. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to walk to the Tercentennial Monument from here. Your Jamestown tours start from this point.
