For those looking for a hassle-free, relaxed time, Virginia Beach is the place to go.
From late May to early September is the ideal time to visit Virginia Beach because this is when seaside culture is at its zenith. But be aware that this is the busiest time of year. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, hotel rooms at beachfront properties typically cost more, and the city and beach may become congested. Arrive in the spring (from March to mid-May) or fall for less expensive lodging and more agreeable temperatures (between mid-September and November). Visits in December, January, or February can also result in financial savings, but you'll need to pack warmly and some attractions may have shortened hours.
