Jordan Peele Quit Acting Because of The Emoji Movie

One of the top screenwriters and directors of the past ten years has been Jordan Peele. His films push the envelope and offer an incredible visual experience in addition to captivating narratives. He has won multiple honors, received widespread praise from critics and the general public, and continues to wow viewers. And to think that he began his career as an actor in silly comedies like the outstanding Key and Peele sketch comedy series.

Peele has publicly said that he gave up acting for a very surprising reason. The Emoji Movie motivated him to stop performing. Peele claims that he was given the opportunity to play the Poop Emoji in the movie. And the very thought of that brought on a kind of existential crisis.

Although he assured his manager he would think about it, he was obviously upset with where his career was at that time. He found out he had already lost the part to Patrick Stewart when he inquired about the remuneration the following day. He immediately left performing to concentrate completely on writing and directing.
