Kakum National Park
Kakum National Park is a biodiverse area with some unique plant and animal species, and it is undoubtedly one of Ghana's most beautiful regions. It is a destination for tourists interested in visiting Ghana's rainforests, as it provides visitors with spectacular scenery and a fascinating wildlife experience, as well as modern camping facilities. It stretches across a large portion of southern Ghana.
The Canopy Walkway is a key part of the national park and pulls a lot of tourists but it is just one of Kakum's many attractions. There are numerous trails and guided walks available to visitors who want to experience the solitude of the rainforest. It's also a great place to go bird watching, with over 300 species including eight species of global conservation concern. Forest elephants, leopards, bongo, bushbuck, and a variety of primates are examples of mammals. In addition, over 600 butterfly species have been identified. People should definitely take guided tours to get a full picture of the area.
