Kokrobite Beach

Kokrobite beach is yet another beach that will catch your attention when you are in Ghana. Kokrobite is a town along the Atlantic coast, 30 km (19 mi) to the west of Accra, the capital city of Ghana. It is well-known for sea fishing and is also a popular destination for tourists, backpackers, and international volunteers seeking beaches.

Big Milly's Backyard, a resort that has been open since 1995, Bahdoosh, a beer bar, hostel, and restaurant managed by a young Australian ex-pat next door, and the Cool Breeze Hotel are the main tourist attractions. The Academy of African Music and Art, which is also located at this site, attracts a large number of people who are interested in the creative side of life. People can book the resorts which provide a beautiful view of the beach. The ‘Homowo’ festival held in the month of May is also a popular time when tourists flock to this beach destination.
