Katieng Waterfall
In Cambodia's Ratanakiri province, in the Ka Tieng village, Lbang 2 commune, Lumphat district, Katieng Waterfall, also known as Katieng Rapids, is situated about 17 kilometers from Krong Ban Lung Independent Monument.
With the massive, clear waterfall and stunning natural surroundings, visitors will feel relieved. There is a forest full of large and tiny trees surrounding the waterfall, casting a calm shadow ideal for relaxing, watching the waterfall, and having a picnic.
One of the less popular waterfalls in the region is the Katieng Waterfall in Ratanakiri. If you visit this waterfall and take an elephant ride at the same time, you can have a great time. North of the falls, at the elephant community of Phume Kateung, elephant rides are offered. If you're lucky, you might be able to glimpse the Katieng Waterfall in Ratanakiri from the air. Watch alert for falls when the plane is landing or taking off. There are hour-and-a-half-long elephant rides available to this waterfall. The lodges you are staying in may be able to arrange this.
