Kbal Chhay Waterfall
Kbal Chhay Waterfall is located in southwest Cambodia, some 7 km from the city of Sihanoukville, and another 9 km down a red-dust road. Kbal Chhay was a source of clean water until 1963, but the arrangement came to an end when it was used as a Khmer Rouge hideout. This is one of the best waterfalls to visit in Cambodia.
The Kok An Company created Kbal Chhay in 1998. By building a road there, they made the area a tourism destination for both domestic and foreign visitors. Having taken back control of the location, the Royal Government of Cambodia now uses it to provide clean water to the adjacent metropolis.
You can sit in the swing chairs and take in the sight and sound of the Kbal Chhay waterfall. On the balconies, you can rest or have a picnic. After it has rained, the waterfall seems to become even more stunning. You can swim here with the locals and possibly make some new acquaintances because the water is clear.
