Key West, Florida
Key West is the largest island in the Florida Keys archipelago, located between two seas, one side is the calm Gulf of Mexico, and the other is the turbulent Atlantic Ocean. Key West has the longest history in the United States. Europeans first set foot on the island in 1541. Then Key West became Florida's largest city with large shipwreck mining companies, which quickly prospered. Despite attracting millions of visitors each year, the island remains quiet and isolated, separate from the rest of Florida.
The most popular means of transportation is a bicycle. The streets here are small. The central neighborhood is colorful with ancient wooden houses, narrow streets, coconut groves, wharves, and motels. Key West has a tropical climate that is clean and peaceful, so many US presidents have chosen it as a winter vacation destination.
The most crowded place on the island is Mallory Square, located in the old town. There are many small boats carrying tourists out to sea to watch the sunset. Two hours before sunset, there will be a band to entertain. There is a market selling souvenirs for visitors. Especially restaurants with wine and fresh seafood for visitors to sip while waiting to watch the sunset. This scene Florida people call "Sunset Celebration"
