Khao Soi Mae Manee

Among Chiang Mai's many khao soi alternatives, Khao Soi Mae Manee, a little restaurant north of the Old City, stands out for its unique spin on the traditional meal. Beef, chicken, and fish are on the menu, as well as some offal delicacies for the courageous! The welcoming proprietors have been in business for more than 50 years, and it's a running joke that customers order the same meal over and over.

In 1984, the restaurant originally opened its doors, serving a variety of noodle meals. The famed northern Thai Khao Soi consists of egg noodles with chicken in a rich soup, topped with crispy deep-fried noodles and served with pickled mustard greens, shallots, and limes eclipsed the others throughout time.
