Kinmen Islands
This series of islands lies between Taiwan and China and is notable for being the location of a 1949 fight between Nationalists and Communists. However, Kinmen Islands is now better known as a popular tourist attraction. The islands are sometimes referred to as "the park in the sea" because of the abundance of vivid flowers, woodlands, and natural reserves available for visitors to explore, with Kinmen National Park being the most popular.
Kinmen is full of historic structures. There are plenty of charming old buildings to admire, as well as a number of beautiful beaches strewn about. The Kinmen Islands, known for their indigenous products and delectable cuisine, are well worth a visit while in Taiwan.

- Best time to visit Kinmen Islands: The best months to visit Kinmen are September and May when it is neither too hot nor too windy, and there are few people. Summer months (June to August) are the busiest on Kinmen, but be aware that temperatures can soar during those months. Many individuals visit during the winter school holiday.
