Lukang
Lukang is a township in Taiwan's northeastern Changhua County. The township is located on Taiwan's west coast, facing the Taiwan Strait. During the Dutch colonial period, the port traded deerskins, which gave the municipality its name.
The island's second-oldest town is a fascinating destination to explore, particularly for its delectable local cuisine and gorgeous architecture. It was previously a major seaport and trading center in the country's northwest, but its importance has waned in recent years. Thankfully, this has resulted in the preservation of its historic structures, and there are over two hundred temples for tourists to visit, with Longshan and Matzu being among the most popular. There are several different architectural styles on display. Ox tongue cakes and oyster pancakes, which are regional delicacies in Lukang, are among the dishes that visitors to the city must taste.
