Klaipeda Sea Festival

If you are planning a trip to Lithuania in July, you should not miss the annual Klaipeda Sea Festival. It is one of the largest public festivals held in Klaipeda to commemorate the glory of the Baltic Sea. During the festival, approximately a million people visit the country to partake in the fun and games. Aside from the boat and ship races, the festival adopts a carnival atmosphere, with people putting on shows and dancing in the streets. Food stalls line the streets, selling the best of Lithuanian cuisine. Here, one can also sample the local beer. In the street market, souvenir and handmade goods stalls are set up where visitors can purchase traditional artifacts from the country. Art exhibitions and music concerts fill the city streets, and no one seems to mind.
