Song Festival- a quadrennial mass event recognized by UNESCO in which 30 000 professional and amateur singers from all over Lithuania and diaspora communities gather in Vilnius to sing Lithuanian songs together. The sheer number of singers creates an unrivaled grand sense of unity, especially on the final "Day of the Songs," when everyone marches to Vingis Park's grandstand and sings pre-recorded songs. All of the song texts and notes are now available online, so you can easily participate in the Song Festival even if you don't speak Lithuanian!


As the ninth most popular festival in Lithuania, the Song Festival has attracted large numbers of people from all over the world. This has created a great spirit of solidarity that not every festival has. Come to Lithuania for the chance to participate and experience this wonderful festival and get a chance to enjoy the carnival songs.
