Škoda Auto is a Czech automobile manufacturer belonging to the Volkswagen group. The brand was originally called L&K, founded by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement in 1895 in Mladá Boleslav. Initially, the company was founded to manufacture bicycles, gradually turned to motorcycles and produced the first car in 1905.
