Kooralbyn International School (TKIS) in Australia is a small, inclusive educational haven. TKIS follows the Australian Curriculum (AC) from Prep to Grade 10 and the Queensland New Senior Curriculum for Grades 11 and 12. Despite being a smaller, independent school, TKIS prioritizes providing a broad education. While it doesn’t offer a religious-based curriculum, it covers essential subjects within the AC and New Senior curriculum. The core learning areas encompass English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS), Technologies, Health and Physical Education (HPE), Languages Other Than English (LOTE), and The Arts.
For senior students, TKIS offers a range of subjects, including popular options eligible for the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) and non-ATAR subjects. Specialization choices like aviation and equestrian make TKIS stand apart. Students have the opportunity to pursue their interests and hobbies beyond the traditional curriculum through the Private Masters process with school permission.
